A Touch of Cinema

A remix of King Hu's 1969 A Touch of Zen for the Fringe Festival at the 2015 Cinema Pacific Film Festival. Hu's film is often regarded as one of the best examples of the Wuxia genre of film, those focused around martial arts, and thus still maintains attention. This remix explores the timeless quality of film and the changing ways in which audiences have been presented with moving images. From movie palaces, to television sets, and now mobile video, film has constantly been evolving, but that doesn't mean that the stories of old films have to be left behind.
